Se entiende por estrés toda demanda física o psicológica fuera de lo habitual y bajo presión que se le haga al organismo, provocándole un estado ansioso. En la mayor parte de los casos, el estrés aparece debido a las grandes demandas que se le imponen al organismo. Se ha observado que el estrés tiene un profundo efecto sobre la morfología y función de diversas estructuras del sistema nervioso central (SNC), sistema encargado de relacion ...Se entiende por estrés toda demanda física o psicológica fuera de lo habitual y bajo presión que se le haga al organismo, provocándole un estado ansioso. Se ha observado que el estrés tiene un profundo efecto sobre la morfología y función de diversas estructuras del sistema nervioso central (SNC), sistema encargado de relacionar al individuo con su entorno y mantener la homeostasis de éste. El objetivo de esta revisión es entregar antecedentes de cómo determinados tipos de factores estresantes pueden afectar determinadas estructuras del SNC, con las alteraciones funcionales y conductuales subsecuentes.Stress is any unusual physical or psychological demand that impinges on the organism, producing an anxious state.
